Latest News from Dance Re:Ignite

Spring 2020 is a busy period for our Dance Re:Ignite project.

For artists, we are delighted to welcome Filipa Pereira-Stubbs to Hertfordshire to deliver a session on leading dance in hospital settings and then in March we have a first aid for dance course.  The new peer-to-peer mentoring network is growing, with artists sharing work, offering support and attending events together.  Contact us if you are interested in joining the network.

In January 2020 Tim Casson and Tom Butterworth will be working with a company of older dancers to create a new performance and workshop package that will then tour across the county. Dates available on the Dance Re:Ignite ON TOUR current events page.

The highlight of the year will be the Dance Re:Ignite FESTIVAL and we are thankful to the support of Watford Borough Council in bringing the event to the Watford Colesseum and West Herts College.  This will mean we can invite more people to take part, perform and watch dance at the festival.  Visit the FESTIVAL page for more details.

Dance Re:Ignite has been made possible by an Arts Council England Project Grant.  Additional support from: Hertfordshire Music Service, Welwyn Hatfield Council, Watford Borough Council, Dacorum Borough Council and local County Councillor Locality Budget and Community budget support. Produced in partnership with Hertfordshire Sports Partnership, Dacorum Community Dance, The Old Town Hall in Hemel Hempstead, Saracens Sports Foundation and Watford Museum.
