Technology and digital communications are growing rapidly, with more focus than ever on remote learning, working and socialising over the past few months. It’s no surprise then that we’re all keen to learn a little more about the tricks and techniques that will help us to discover and understand more about the digital world in which we live.
BEEE Creative believes that this hunger to improve our tech skills is what has led to the hugely successful take-up of our Exhibit 2020: Animation Workshops. Hosted by Animation Director Shaun Clark, the workshops, which are aimed at 11 to 16-year olds, help to explore the magic of animation.
Using a technique called pixilation, Shaun works with the young people remotely, over Zoom, to develop new skills, that show them how to animate both people and inanimate objects, with some truly inspiring results.
Carrie Washington, Director of BEEE Creative explains: “Throughout 2020, we’ve been busy adapting all of our projects to meet new ways of working that continue to deliver bespoke programs, which offer everyone an opportunity to develop their confidence, communication and creativity.
“Exhibit 2020 is run in partnership with five Hertfordshire Museums, managed by BEEE Creative, with artistic direction from makeAMPLIFY, with thanks to money raised by National Lottery players and awarded to the project by The National Lottery Heritage Fund and in support of Hertfordshire Year of Culture 2020.”
If you’re aged 11 – 16 and would like to take part in our next Animation Workshop, on Monday 26 October, please email Carrie Washington firstname.lastname@example.org or call 07971 171061.
